We are working with a number of partners to explore what
depression is, who suffers from it and who it impacts on and
how we might design new ways to prevent it too.

The image displayed is from some Rorschach test
experiments artist Georgina McCann ran in 2014.
Rorschach tests were developed by Swiss psychologist
Hermann Rorschach. They are psychological tests where a person's perceptions of ink splatters and blots are recorded and then analyzed using psychological interpretation, complex algorithms, or both.
Sometimes the test is used to explore a person's personality characteristics and emotional functioning. It has also been used to detect thought disorder, especially in cases where patients are reluctant to describe their thinking processes openly.
